Getting there & location – How to find the campsite at Schwanenteich

We look forward to welcoming you to the Schwanenteich campsite in Mühlhausen, Thuringia! 

To make your journey as relaxed as possible, we have put together directions for you here.

Arrival by car

The campsite at Schwanenteich is located at Popperöder Gasse 2, 99974 Mühlhausen/Thuringia.

Arrival by train and bus

Mühlhausen can be reached by train, even if it is not an ICE hub.

Arriving by car

From the north/south (A7 / A9 / A4)
Take the A38 (Göttingen - Halle). Take the Mühlhausen exit (exit 2). Follow the signs toward Mühlhausen and follow the signs within the city.

From the west (A44 / A4)
Take the A4 (Erfurt - Eisenach). Take the Eisenach-Ost exit (exit 42) and take the B247 towards Mühlhausen. In Mühlhausen, follow the signs.

From the east (A4 / A14) Take the A4 (Dresden - Erfurt)
Take the Erfurt-West exit (exit 45) and drive onto the B247 towards Mühlhausen. In Mühlhausen, follow the signs to Schwanenteich.

Arrival by train and bus

By train

Travel with Deutsche Bahn to Mühlhausen (Thuringia) station. There are direct connections or connections with changes, often via Gotha or Leinefelde-Worbis.

From Mühlhausen station to the campsite

By bus: From the bus station at Mühlhausen train station, you can take city bus line 2 or 5. The stop is called “Aue”.
From here, it is an 850 m walk to the campsite via Heyeröder Landstraße. Bus connections can be found at https://www.regionalbus.de/service/stadtlinien/muehlhausen.
