The campsite at the Schwanenteich is scenically located on the outskirts of Mühlhausen, nestled between the ridges of the Hainich and the Eichsfeld. The area is the ideal starting point for numerous excursions.

 

Not only hikes into the local recreation area, but also into the world heritage region Wartburg-Hainich, into the nature park Eichsfeld-Hainich-Werratal or into the historic old town of Mühlhausen with the walkable battlements, on the almost completely preserved city wall.

Delight your family with a day at Mühlhausen's "Thüringentherme", where you can also relax wonderfully in its charming sauna landscape.

Our sleeping cabins

The campsite also has six sleeping cabins for 6 or 8 people each and one sleeping cabin for 3 people. The cabins are equipped with double bunk beds, closet, table + chairs and an electric heater. Rental bed linen is available for a fee. For larger numbers, please book in advance.

Disturbing noise must be avoided during the quiet hours.
No cars may be moved on the site and no awnings or similar may be erected.
Radios and televisions must be turned down to room volume.
House rules / further information
  • Adolescents up to 18 years of age require the consent of their legal guardian
  • Children and young people under 16 years of age may only stay overnight in the company of a parent or guardian
  • Departure must be by 12.00 a.m., otherwise an additional overnight charge will be made
  • Dogs must be kept on a leash
  • Washing cars on the campsite is prohibited
  • Vehicles may only be moved at walking pace on the campsite grounds
  • The instructions of the staff must be followed when setting up the campsite
  • Use of sheeting under awnings, digging of trenches and fencing in of pitches is not permitted
  • No one may be endangered by tent pegs, cords or other accessories
  • Open fires are prohibited
Cleanliness
  • The sanitary facilities are to be left as you found them
  • Children up to the age of 6 are only allowed to enter the sanitary and toilet facilities when accompanied by an adult
  • Waste must be placed in the bins provided
  • A waste disposal station is available for your waste water

The administration is entitled to exercise domiciliary rights, i.e. it can refuse to admit persons or expel guests from the site if this appears necessary in the interest of other guests. Furthermore, we would like to point out that the destruction of property of Wirtschaftsbetriebe Mühlhausen GmbH will be charged.
Sleeping hut
  • The total amount is due when the keys are handed over
  • The calculation is made according to the actual occupancy
  • We would appreciate if you could have the amount of money ready in an appropriate way
  • Rooms can be occupied from 2.00 p.m. and have to be vacated by 10.00 a.m.
Cancellation fees
  • In case of cancellation up to 21 days before arrival, 30% of the booked services will be charged
  • In case of cancellation up to 14 days before arrival, 50% of the booked services will be charged
  • In case of cancellation up to 7 days before arrival, 75% of the booked services will be charged
